Certification as an Airline Transport Pilot signifies that you have earned a PhD in aviation. The ATP certificate is required if you want to be the captain of an airliner, and it is often necessary to fly as a corporate pilot.

To complete your training for the ATP certificate, you must pass both a computer-based knowledge test and a practical test (flight check) with an FAA-designated examiner.
